A Crow placed before a mirror
Takes no note.
But if a spot of red is marked
Upon her peerless chest,
She’ll peck and preen and check to find
What injury has left.
She only sees herself in her
(Imagined) pain.
Then turns away, and seeks
Obscurity again.
